Tendopathy is a primarily non-inflammatory disease of the tendon due to wear, overuse or misuse. Tendopathy leads to pain and restricted mobility.
Hyaluronic acid is used to increase the lubricating effect of the tendon and to reduce adhesions. In addition, hyaluronic acid blocks pain receptors, prevents inflammatory messengers from passing freely and is an excellent transport medium for nutrients. Treatment with Ostenil Tendon leads to overall harmonization of the tendons and the structures surrounding them, relieves pain and improves mobility.
1 ml isotonic solution contains 20.0 mg sodium hyaluronate as well as sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, mannitol and water for injections.
CAUTION – important notice: Ostenil Tendon pre-filled syringes are intended for injection by a doctor. Since the injection technique is essential for the success of the treatment, it may only be used by doctors who can demonstrate special training.
